Lincoln City, Oregon Sandcastle Contest

Nothing beats a fun filled weekend playing on the beach except maybe if that weekend includes sandcastles! Each year, Siletz Bay hosts an annual sandcastle making contest for amateurs. Only sand, water, branches and other natural beach materials may be used in the construction by the artist. Registration is free for participants and visitors are encouraged to come see the sand come to life as castles, marine life, characters and other wonderful imaginations. Most years the contest is held in August.
